Role Description
As a Junior WordPress (Gutenberg) Developer – Creative Technologist at TERAX, you will contribute to creating dynamic and engaging websites using Gutenberg block technology for WordPress. Your daily tasks will include front-end and back-end development, implementing responsive web design principles, and ensuring high-quality website performance. You will collaborate closely with designers to create custom web solutions, troubleshoot and debug issues, and maintain code quality. This is a full-time hybrid position based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, permitting some work-from-home flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites using the Gutenberg block editor (Full Site Editing/FSE).
- Create and extend custom Gutenberg blocks using JavaScript (React/ES6).
- Ensure websites are pixel-perfect, highly responsive, and optimized for performance.
- Collaborate on creative layouts and UI/UX improvements.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and meticulously test work before deployment.
Requirements & Skills
- Technical: Solid understanding of WordPress core, PHP, HTML5, CSS3/SASS, and JavaScript.
- Gutenberg Focus: Hands-on experience building or customizing Gutenberg blocks.
- Attention to Detail: A sharp eye for design alignment, spacing, and clean code.
- Soft Skills: Creative problem-solver, highly diligent, and values transparent, honest communication.
